I'm working with the medieval period now - not nearly as well as these excerpts, though! Thanks, Rose, for sharing such an interesting author with us. And thanks Kate for spending time on your research and material. I am putting you on my TBR list (and probably bumping you up to the top!).
Thanks Mimi for your generous and lovely comment. It is always interesting to find someone who is writing about things that are of interest to us, isn't it? A lot of cross-pollination going on, so to speak!
Lovely to meet a fellow medieval writer! Best of luck with all that you are doing - and if you do have a chance to read The Arrowsmith Trilogy- I do hope you enjoy it 🤞😊
Wouldn't it be lovely if Mimi does get the Arrowsmith Trilogy? As I said to her, it is always encouraging to find others interested in the same things we are. I hope you get a lot of interest (and business) from people seeing this latest post. Again, thanks for your lovely comments. It means a lot to me.
Ah, thanks Kate! You will make me blush at this rate. I'm so pleased that you feel I did justice to your work. As I've said before, long may your career flourish!
Oh Alison, how wonderfully kind of you to say such lovely things. I never think of myself as being generous. Nosey perhaps, or just interested in other writers. Many, many thanks for your comment.
Thank you so much Jennifer! It is lovely to receive comments like yours. Kate has sold some more books as a result of people reading about her, so that's great. She figured out self-publishing way back in 2015, which is incredible. Her first book, The Errant Hours is still selling. Yay, self-publishing!
Thanks so much for your comment Alison. I feel I am a long way behind Kate's journey, as she already has several books published, has a following, and leads workshops. But, you never know, perhaps my day is coming. (Hurry up, please!)
Thank you so much for all you've put into this, Rose! It looks great and I really appreciate it. You really have an understanding way of expressing the writing journey. 😊🙌🏼
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kate. It is interesting to see what can be done with self-publishing when it is done right. Long may your success with your career in words continue!

I love that - "cross-pollination" - perfect way to describe Substack.
Yes, we're all buzzing around, picking up inspiration everywhere!

Rose show cased yet another author, she has really demonstrated her generosity and flair for understanding Kate's work.
Absolutely - Rose is a really generous and skillful writer!
